Kristian: I’ve been working really hard on it…(lion roar). Suck it MGM Lion, that’s why you’re retired!
M: Good job, dude.

K: Hey everyone in Schmoeville, we’re reviewing Madagascar 3…now normally when you have a third one of these movies, they’re stretching it, pushing it, you think it’s gonna suck. Guess what guys? It doesn’t suck!
M: It didn’t suck, and going into this movie, for whatever reason, I just can’t get excited about seeing the Madagascar films.
K: You were dreadng it, felt like me going to see a Twilight film.
M: I just couldn’t get excited, I didn’t wanna go…and then I sit down, and the first 15 minutes of this movie? It was the like the opening scene of Drive…I was just so into this movie.
K: You big softy…and let me tell ya, there’s a few jokes here and there, but what really got Ellis? The penguins.
M: These penguins are hilarious, the monkeys are great. The lion is Ben Stiller, the zebra is Chris Rock, the hippo is Jada Pinkett Smith…and you gotta give David Schwimmer a shout-out, doesn’t have a whole lot else going on. He’s the giraffe, job well done. But the penguins always steal these movies.
K: They have a gambling problem, that’s why. They wanna go back to the zoo in New York, and the only way to do that? Join the circus.
M: That’s right, the only way to get back to America is to join this traveling circus that’s well past it’s prime. They meet a hot leopard and an evil Russian tiger…so we think.

K: Right, and it kinda reminded me of Drago with a heart…I liked this guy. That’s the thing with these movies: how will the new additions be? He was actually my favorite out of all the animals, was nice to see some new blood in there.
M: Yeah, tiger’s blood.
K: Not voiced by Charlie Sheen.
M: Thanks goodness no…the tiger was actually voiced by Bryan Cranston, and then Martin Short also does a walrus in this.
K: He does a walrus or he voices a walrus?
M: He does a walrus! It’s really off-putting to watch, especially in 3D.
K: And thus it’s time for 3D corner…what did you think about the 3D, pal?
M: Ummm…we didn’t see it together, I didn’t see it in 3D. Didn’t want to pay to see it at all so I decided to go with 2D.
K: I did pay to see it in 3D and thought it was really good…most animations are and I’d recommend seeing this in 3D.
M: Yeah, I’m not a big abuser of illicit materials, but if I was, these circus scenes would be great. It gets all neon and Pink Floyd laser light showy…pretty cool stuff I imagine in 3D.
K: What was also great is that a lot of times, these movies are just for kids, and adults can’t enjoy them. Not this time…there’s some stuff in there the kids won’t get but you will and it’s pretty funny.
M: There’s some legitimately funny stuff in there for adults…whether you have kids, will never have kids, have to take your nephews, your nieces, or some random kid you met at a playground, you’re gonna be able to get though this movie ok.
K: Alright, so Schmoeing this movie, I enjoyed it and thought it was one of the better third movies in a franchise…so I’m gonna go 3.5/5 Schmoes.
M: Makes my brain hurt thinking about the bext third movies in franchise history, but Toy Story 3 may have been my favorite in that franchise…this one is not a Pixar movie, not that enjoyable but was good. I’m also gonna go 3.5/5 Schmoes. I wouldn’t hate seeing a fourth Madagascar.
K: How about you guys in Schmoeville…are you gonna see this movie? Do you care? Do you think this movie is going to beat Prometheus at the box office this weekend?
M: Oooh, that’ll be a good game this weekend.
K: It’s a race and remember to put in the time to watch Box Office Sunday tomorrow…and Mr. Ellis just had his throat operated on and you can see the post-op on Schmoe Plus.
M: Yep, they fixed my throat, the golden radio voice is back, and look: I can even do a lion roar!
K: Damn those doctors…money pays nothing these days.

M: Who was that? An old person impression now?
K: I don’t know…it was a nice old person saying good job.
M: I liked it better when you were a lion.
