I think every guy my age in their 20's or close by, can appreciate a good popcorn flick, one with hot chicks, fast cars and lots of unnecessary explosions. Michael Bay is clearly in touch with that crowd, and there's no denying he's found something that reaches the public interest, considering the money his films make. From an economic sense, Bay is a very smart filmmaker.

I wasn't sure what I was going to write about this week, until I viewed a film I had been meaning to watch for some time, and knew immediately that I wanted to tell you fine readers about it. That film is entitled "Magic" and it came out in the fall of 1978. It's a film that you will scarcely hear about, and after viewing the film I'm baffled as to why. It's just one of those movies that slips under the radar, that goes by unnoticed when it should be praised. Perhaps one reason is because Superman: The Movie came out just a short time after Magic did.

Seeing Super 8 this past week caused me to reflect on something that has slowly been bothering me more and more as time goes by. Movie Trailers, or as I've come to call them... short films.
